Automatic scans
Let Radar scan on a schedule while your browser is open.
Automatic mode runs the same scan as the Scan now button at the times you choose. It is off by default.
Settings
| Setting | Default | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Enabled | Off | Turn on under Settings → Automation → Schedule. |
| Times | 09:00, 21:00 | Local times. Up to four a day is recommended. |
| Quiet hours | None | No automatic run starts in this window. |
| Catch up missed scans | On | Run once on browser start if a scheduled scan was missed. |
| Notify | On | Show a notification with the number of new terms and the top names. |
When automatic mode is on, the popup footer shows the next run time.
Mind your X account
Automated reading may break X's terms of service and can get an account rate-limited. Radar waits a few random seconds between accounts and stops X for the day on a 429, but keep the schedule modest.
The browser has to be open
Scans run inside your browser. If it is closed at a scheduled time, the run is caught up on next start.
