Quick start

Run your first scan and read the results in five minutes.

This walk-through starts with the platforms that need no sign-in, then adds the ones that open a background tab, so you can see each part work.

  1. Scan the fetch-only platforms. Open the popup, tick only Hugging Face, GitHub and Google Trends, and click Run first scan. GitHub and Trends report terms right away; Hugging Face uses a model's creation date the first time to decide what is genuinely new.
  2. Add Reddit and Product Hunt. Scan again with those ticked. Watch the collapsed Radar tab group and the “started debugging this browser” bar appear; both go away when the scan ends.
  3. Scan X. Tick only X. The first scan reads each account's older posts to learn which names are already known; names first seen in the last 30 hours are reported.
  4. Search a name. Type a word such as deepseek in the popup's search box and press Enter. The search results page opens in a new tab.
  5. Open the report. Click Open report to triage the new terms. If something looks off, the Runs tab shows each task's status and error.

Next: learn how a term is judged new in Scanning.
